The Boy Who Fell Off the Mayflower or John Howland’s Good Fortune

boyThe Boy Who Fell Off the Mayflower or John Howland’s Good Fortune by P.J. Lynch

Just in time for Thanksgiving, this is an  illustrated account of the life of John Howland, the young servant who was indentured to Pilgrim John Carver. The author  describes how Howland  embarked on the Mayflower and survived a fall off the ship before helping his ill shipmates by scouting out a safe harbor.  They were befriended by Squanto, who helped them survive their harsh winter.
